2026 Scholarship Program Announcement

Application with Attachments Due: Saturday, April 4, 2026

 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Eta Gamma Omega Chapter announces its annual scholarship applications. We invite students to apply for scholarships. The online applications and requirements are located at our

website: www.etagammaomega.org.

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Student’s permanent home is in the Greater Sacramento Area.

 

Applicant must include the following:

 

Step 1: Submit the appropriate online application:

• High School Senior Scholarship

• Undergraduate STEM Scholarship

• Undergraduate – HBCU Scholarship

 

Step 2: UPLOAD all ATTACHMENTS which are to be compiled and scanned by 11:59 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2026

 

Step 3: Name your attachment: 

• “NAME_AKA-HS” 

• “NAME_AKA-STEM” 

• “NAME_AKA-HBCU” (e.g. Sarah Jones _AKA-HBCU)

 

REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS

• Recent Color Photo Headshot

• An official transcript including last semester’s grades.

• A typed and SIGNED essay by the applicant (see application for specifics)

• Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (High School) 

  • One letter from SCHOOL personnel, and

  • One letter from an individual in the COMMUNITY

• One (1) Letter of Recommendation (College) from COLLEGE personnel
